OUR STORY
Spectara is a venture-backed company devoted to biosecurity and individual infection identification. We have developed a revolutionary new class of fieldable biological mass spectrometers capable of precisely detecting both known agents through comparison of mass spectra to a common threat library and new and emerging threats through spikes in single particle counts. Our instruments are unique for both their specificity and speed and have been deployed in real-world environments through government and commercial engagements.
We have also developed a new methodology for the diagnosis of disease by using the body’s own response to infection: Proteases. Our technique identifies infection on average 8 days earlier than clinical diagnosis, with 90+% accuracy of detection. Best of all, it does so without consumables and with little-to-no intervention. This technology was developed in conjunction with the NIH and leading medical centers around the country.
Our team has years of experience at institutions as broad as JHUAPL, DARPA, DHS, Raytheon, Biobot Analytics, Teledyne-FLIR, the U.S. Senate, U.S. Army, and U.S. Air Force Intelligence. We have venture funding from Anzu Partners, Cottonwood Technology Fund, and Scout Ventures, and have partnerships with the DOW, DHS, NIH, NASA, JP Morgan Chase, United Health Group, Johns Hopkins Hospital, and the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
Our team, our technology, and our mandate haven't changed. What's changing is the name — and soon, the domain: reach us at a @spectara.ai with questions or partnership ideas.
